Just as we are accustomed to planning our activities based on regular cycles found in nature such as the earth’s revolutions around the sun, the moon’s revolutions around the earth, the tides, and the change of seasons, we can plan and make predictions using the symbolism of the ordinal numbers one through nine singly, or in combination, to understand our purpose in life and the energies which dominate the different life cycles we transit. With this knowledge, we are in a favorable position to make the most of our potential and time the life changes we desire.

Numerology and astrology are similar in that they are both methods of analyzing energetic phenomena. Astrology relies on an analysis of the impact of planetary energies and movement in our solar system upon the Planet Earth and its diverse animal, plant and mineral composition.

Your astrology chart is based on the energies present in the Universe at the day, time and geographical location of your birth. Numerology calculations are based on the energies present in the month, day and year of your birth as well as the letters of your complete birth name as it is recorded on your birth certificate.

There is definitely a relationship between numerology and astrology measurements, each with its own advantages and limitations. Astrology relies on measurement of external cosmic energies that affect each one of us individually and the Planet and its inhabitants collectively. Numerology calculations are based on the vibrational energies present in both numbers and letters of the alphabet. Numerology calculations can be used to make assessments about people, places and objects in ways that astrology does not address. A major advantage to understanding and using numerology is that the calculations are easily done once basic addition skills are mastered.

As an example, a client scheduled a session with me as a follow-up to a session with an astrologer. The astrologer had indicated to her it was a favorable time to make a career change. What the astrologer was unable to do for my client was to indicate which company would be a good match and what people within the company would be compatible with her without having all the pertinent birth data available to calculate.

My client’s numerology chart also indicated that it was a favorable time to embark on a new career. By using the names of the companies she was interviewing with along with the addresses of the company offices and the names of the managers she would report to, we were able to give her “insider info” that would assist her in making the most harmonious partnership.

Did numerology automatically assist my client in making the “right” choice? No, it did not. We are all, most fortunately, blessed with the ability to create and choose how we want our lives to proceed within the parameters of our genetic inherited characteristics and the behaviors, traits and inclinations that are part of our astrological and numerological natal blueprint.

Ultimately, numerology, astrology, and other divining modalities (of which there are many!) used in the best and most positive way, are tools that assist us in bringing to full, conscious awareness the wisdom and guidance for action that we all intuitively possess at a deep soul level. When we are acting in full harmony with our inner guidance system, we are functioning at our highest level of mastery and fulfilling our highest potential. At this point, any divining modality will only confirm the truths we recognize at our deepest level to be aligned with our highest and best good.

Numerology does, however, provide us with very accurate insight into our individual character traits, talents and potentials. It also indicates to us which energies will most intensively influence our lives during any given period. From this information, we can plan our personal and professional activities and relationships to significantly effect the likelihood of positive outcomes on an ongoing basis.

As a numerologist, my byword in consulting with clients is “positive potentials”. Our numbers are symbols for different types of energy. A number energy can be used to create positive outcomes or less desirable ones. Awareness of the possibilities is the first stepping stone to creating outcomes that are in alignment with your hopes and dreams.

Imagine that you are given a gift of a vacant lot. What are you going to do with the lot? Do you envision the best use of the land and takes steps to create what makes your heart sing – whether it’s building a home for yourself, a commercial building, a library, a school or creating a park, children’s playground or nature setting? If you just abandon your lot and give it no attention, what’s going to happen? Likely you will get a lot of weeds, trash, litter, and citations from your town’s zoning commission! In the same way, recognizing your talents and potentials assists you to own them and use them in the most constructive way, helping you attract and maximize success and fulfillment as you travel your life’s journey.

A knowledge of your numerology chart is like having an instruction manual and road map. Numerology does not tell you what do to; it does help you find the best route to your desired outcomes and help you cope with and more easily master the challenges that do come your way.
